Meet Kathryn one of our new teachers! She is teaching on Tuesday’s at Playzone in Herne Bay.

Kathryn has nearly 7 years experience as a singing teacher for all ages, having worked in educational and performance settings around East Kent. Her experience spans from teaching privately in one-to-one settings, group vocal coaching workshops, directing and teaching local choirs, to working as a peripatetic singing and piano teacher in local schools for South East Creative Arts.

Kathryn has always loved singing since a very young age and is especially passionate about vocal health and developing a musical ear in young children. Kathryn lives in Herne Bay with her husband and two young children and is excited to bring her experience and love of music to be a part of the Little Music Stars team.

We are now a member of the Children’s Activities Association

We are so proud to announce that Little Music Stars has become a member of the much needed and valued CAA. We have just completed and passed our Compliance Module and can now go onto to becoming a Bronze member by completing the Training module in the next few months.

Here’s a bit about what the CAA does…

Activities, classes and clubs are a valued and much-loved part of most children’s pre-school and extra curricular leisure and learning time, but until now, there has been no formal guidelines to assist parents, schools and nurseries in choosing how to invest their time and money in popular pastimes.
The Children’s Activities Association is an industry-led, not-for-profit community interest company founded and governed by experts to help parents, schools, nurseries and all children’s activities providers by raising the standard of children’s activities as well as give more families access to these excellent activities.

And here’s the link to the CAA website

See you all soon!

Steve Sidelnyk – pro drummer endorsing our music classes!

Steve, a professional musician and local resident of Whitstable, came into our Little Music Stars classes the other day and witnessed first hand the effect our music had on the children. “It’s so important to introduce children as early as possible to rhythm and music. It encourages listening skills, coordination and promotes self esteem. The Little Music Stars program is offering all this in spades and it’s wonderful to see!”

Thanks Steve! X
